Kuala Trengganu Here We Come

It was quite an early journey today, from lcct at around 5.00am to catch the 7.00 o'clock flight. Not that far but just to Kuala Trengganu, to fulfill one of arwah's promises. The kids had fun experiencing the first ever journey with Air Asia but for the first time ever travelling without him. Hanna kept on sharing her sweetest time she had during her journey to Jakarta with arwah.

A must to Pasar Payang and so we did after an early nasi dagang breakfast.

A birthday wish

16 January 1995, it was eighteen years ago at 9.15am in St. Thomas Hospital, London, UK . A day of joy, thankful and happiness. Arwah Hanif was so excited to be called abah/papa from that very day. It was a new experience, just the two of us independantly thousand miles away from the families.

 Today, 16 January 2013, after eighteen years, it brought me back down to the memory lane. "I feel the hapiness, I feel the pain, I thought it was over but here I go again"

I felt as though it happens today, one of the sweetest moment in my chapters of life but today I could not deny the feeling of agony without him.  Akak, the minute you called this morning, I was truly in a wistful mood remembering arwah that I was so speechless to even say thank you for the breakfast.

He left in the year of our 18th. wedding anniversary and today he is not around to wish Syakira on her 18th birthday.It is a fate............

Syakira misses her dad but this morning Hanna cheered her up by creating a birthday cake from the tab and proudly showed to her the cake she made.

Hakim came back from school and showed the card he made specially for 'kakak'. All of them shared and managed to collect RM16 as a birtday present to her as well. It was so sweet and thoughtful of them and of course with all wishes from aunties, uncles, friends and everyone made her day filled with happiness.

Syakira, may you have all the joy, hapiness and blessings in everything you do. May your life is filled with iman, amal and taqwa and 'doa' to arwah papa in every breath you take. You have grown up with greater challenges and responsibilities awaiting.

New Year

First weekend in 2013 and still alot more to deal with in the beginning of the new year.  School books and several school necessities were finally settled. At the same time the kids enjoyed the moment with their cousins at the Bowling Alley (Wangsa Bowl) in Setia City Mall in Setia Alam.

The mall is located in the new township of Setia Alam between Klang North and Shah Alam. It is very visible as you drive along the main road that links NKVE and Jalan Meru.

We were there for almost three hours and drove back around 8.00pm.

It was sharp 9.00 pm, and Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) has made TV3 the chosen channel. Few songs performed by the singers were really awesome. They were truly beautiful sad song lyrics and too meaningful for me to forget.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

A new chapter of life experience for Hanna Syakira binti Mohd Hanif and the rest of newly registered students for Year One, and they are the first to adapt with the new syllabus (PBS), again......

Hanna was very excited and hopefully she will and be able to cope with her new episode of life. This afternoon she experienced it differently from the other siblings, without papa around...

.Many parents were present to witness their children.

Before going to bed the boys did their homework and Bahasa Melayu is used for Mathematics and Science.  I instructed Syakira to coach Haziq at home instead of paying to the tuition centre. Apparently, she found it difficult to teach Haziq Mathematics in Bahasa since she did it in English before. 

 I have just helped Hakim to do his Maths homework (Year 4) on the topic Whole Number. Hakim was confused to understand the term "Nilai Digit" and "Nilai Tempat" instead of 'Digit Value' and 'Place Value' which he was thought and familiar with for the past 3 years in Tahap 1 (Year 1, 2 and 3). All of a sudden it is changed to Bahasa in Tahap 2 (Year 4,5 and 6).

The system leads to confusion and students need to adapt with the change in the middle of their learning process which I personally think its unfair. It is probably fine to those who can afford to send for extra tuition classes but not everyone can afford to do so for every child, just like me.

 "Alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biarlah sampai ke pangkal lengan". It is wiser to continue with what has been exposed and taught so until the end (Tahap 1 & Tahap 2) instead of changing it in the middle of the learning process as though they are migrating to somewhere else.

I really hope the new change will somehow results a positive outcome especially for Year 1 students and to continue until they complete both Tahap 1 & 2 in Bahasa Melayu without the need to change to other language (back to English or Mandarin, etc..) again, again and again.....

Anyway, I guess Hanna has been missing arwah for the past few days when I heard her talking and mentioning about arwah. She will never miss  reciting Surah Al Ikhlas everytime passing by Tanah Perkuburan Bukit Badak. Yesterday after coming home from Restoran Hakim, Shah Alam with Uncle Ai, Aunt Lely and her cousins, she approached me and said, "mama tadi masa lalu dekat kubur papa, hanna baca dekat papa"....She always remind us of arwah although it has been almost six months.Al fatihah......

"Semoga Hanna dan kakak2 serta abang2 berjaya dunia dan akhirat dan tidak lupa mendoakan arwah untuk selama-lamanya".
